How long does it take to install your monitor?
30 to 60 minutes.

Who sets up the unit on the web? How does it get configured?
We will help you to configure what you need.

Do I need specific software to operate the monitor?
No, the data is all web-based. It can be accessed via our website. No software is necessary.

If I am using the Lan version, do I have to program my router?
The field device does not have to be programmed. It operates on TCP/IP.

How will this affect my internal networking?
It will not affect it at all.

Do I need a phone line at the generator?
No

How does it attach to the generator?
With wires supplied by us, and easily marked.

What connectors and cables will I need?
None

Is there an external antenna?
Yes there is. The easiest way to attach it is by using our magnetic holder

Does your monitor work on 12 or 24 volts?
It works on either 12 or 24 volts

Does your monitor require dry contact for alarm points?
No, we can work with both dry and wetted contacts. We prefer wetted contacts, because they do not require dedicated contacts.

My generator is attached to a building maintenance management system; could I add your monitor?
Probably, but first contact OmniMetrix customer service (link) to discuss.

Will I need firewall permission from my customer for your product to work?
If LAN connected, the network administrator needs to be aware. This is designed to be a plug and play monitor. The administrator should not have to do anything to their system.
