Cathodic Protection Monitoring

The OmniMetrix Pipe-to-soil Monitoring System (PSM) is designed literally from the ground up for monitoring of Cathodic Protection Areas. This system is Lithium battery powered, with a design point of 10 years of unattended service. It is intended for direct burial at the location of a pipe riser for easy installation of the in-soil reference cell and pipeline connection. The system periodically awakens to measure the reference cell voltage, compare that value to acceptable limits, and wirelessly transmit alarms, if necessary. The unit also regularly reports the analog voltage present at the reference electrode for CPA performance trending.
