OmniMetrix produces several designs for rectifier monitoring, offering different price, performance, and geographic coverages.  The original RM is the lowest price line.  The RM product utilizes a digital wireless process called Control Channel Cellular.  It is an extremely effective solution for use in North America, and it offers very good coverage and extremely simple installation and use. 

The Rectifier Monitor (RM) is a self - contained wireless remote monitoring unit for CP Rectifier monitoring applications. The RM measures rectifier output voltage, rectifier shunt current and includes AC control power detection. A reference cell input allows pipe-to-soil and potential to structure measurement. Add-on modules provide: additional inputs, remote current and voltage adjustment and GPSsynchronized group interruption. Our exclusive StormSenseTM module monitors the ionosphere for lightning activity. When an approaching thunderstorm is detected, StormSenseTM triggers the monitors' input relays to electrically disconnect from the Rectifier, the reference cell, and from AC control power. This protects the RM from lightning damage. RM also automatically disconnects from AC power line disturbances. RM features wide-area connectivity via digital radio; transmitting data wirelessly to the OmniMetrix secure Internet site. No custom software is required; all you need is a PC equipped with Internet Explorer. The monitor compares its input measurements to preset alarm levels and can deliver alarms upon detection of outof- bounds conditions. Alarm levels and reporting intervals are remotely programmable.
