OmniMetrix produces several designs for onsite power, offering different price, performance, and geographic coverages.  The original G-Series is the original and  lowest price line.  The G-7500 products utilize a digital wireless process called Control Channel Cellular.  It is an extremely effective solution for use in North America, and it offers very good coverage and extremely simple installation and use.  The G-6600 / 9600 products use a satellite channel called VISTAR.  This system offers a larger geographic footprint, typically on a continental scale.  The North American footprint, for example, covers all of the land mass north of the equator, and south of the arctic circle.  It includes coverage 200 miles into the Atlantic and Pacific oceans, and all of the Caribbean.  These G-Series products are perfect for standby power and rental power applications requiring basic monitoring and control.

The new GX-Series brings a higher level of performance to the market, allowing real-time engine data to be transported from the remote machine to the web.  This system allows the viewer to access instantaneous engine data such as Battery Voltage, Coolant Temperature, Fuel Level, and Power Produced.  This product line moves into a category with greater diagnostic capability, allowing a technician to study the condition of a machine running prime power in Iraq, for example.   The GX line utilizes higher performance wireless transport methods, including Iridium, VSAT, 1XRTT CDMA, and 802.11 channels.
